Winter Season
Vehicles can be ticketed if parked on the street between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. throughout the winter season.
** Holiday Parking Exemption Program from December 21, 2024 to January 2, 2025 **
Newmarket wants to make celebrating this holiday season a little easier for the community! Beginning December 21, 2024, the Town will be introducing a temporary holiday on-street parking exemption, in effect until Thursday, January 2, 2025. During this period, Municipal Enforcement Officers will not issue tickets for vehicles parked on the street for over three consecutive hours or between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
The temporary holiday parking exemption program does not apply during snow events. During snowfall or winter events, please be mindful and remove vehicles parked on the street so they do not interfere with snow plowing operations and to ensure snow plows can operate safely. Other parking restrictions, such as parking in prohibited areas, or signed with 'No Parking' will continue to be enforced.
If you live on a street that does not allow on-street parking, please apply for a Free Overnight Parking Permit. See details below.
